Biographical Info:

Psychiatrist and mental health leader, recently retired from clinical practice after thirty-five years of clinical, academic and governmental service. I continue to advise selected organizations, contributing insight to system transformation where psychiatry meets ethics, philosophy and public service. I am a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. For twenty-six years, I taught psychiatry as an Assistant Professor at McGill University while practising at the MUHC and the Douglas Institute. I contributed to the creation of specialized anxiety clinics and helped modernize access to care. I am co-author of the Canadian Guidelines for Anxiety, PTSD and OCD, with formal training in psychopharmacology, cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy and systemic approaches.
