I am a retired Physician, and a non-experiencer, and I have been a member of IANDS for about 20 years. I find the veridical experiences of NDERs to be compelling evidence that consciousness is not dependent on a working brain, and survives after clinical brain death. While I can't be sure about the ultimate meaning of NDEs as a non experiencer, I believe that people who have had an NDE have been exposed to a reality and a realm that the rest of us are not privy to, at least not while we are still alive. I am currently a member of the Austin, Texas IANDS group.
