Profile: Anita Stewart
**Anita C. Stewart, R.N. (Ret.)** is a retired registered nurse, Energy Medicine practitioner, intuitive medium, spiritual guide, and author whose life has been profoundly shaped by her own near-death experiences.
After 44 years in acute-care nursing—including emergency, intensive care, and flight nursing—Anita brings a unique perspective to the conversation about consciousness, healing, and near-death experiences. Her clinical background gave her a deep understanding of the human body and the medical experience, while her NDEs opened the door to a much deeper exploration of consciousness and the nature of existence.
Today, Anita works with people from around the world through her practice, **Bridges of the Heart**, where she combines Energy Medicine, intuitive guidance, and spiritual insight to support people on their own journeys of healing and awakening.
Her work is grounded in a simple belief: **an extraordinary experience is not meant only to be understood—it is meant to be lived.** Anita encourages others to look beyond interpreting an NDE or spiritual experience and discover how it can transform identity, relationships, values, and the way we experience everyday life.
Anita is the author of *Nurse Sparks* and is currently writing *Died and Returned: A Nurse’s Near-Death Journey*. She is passionate about helping bridge the worlds of medicine and spirituality and expanding the conversation around consciousness and the transformative potential of near-death and related experiences.
Anita lives in Oregon with her husband, Brian, surrounded by the natural world that continually reminds her of the sacredness of being alive.
