Planning is fully underway for IANDS Conference 2026. And if you’re interested in presenting at the world’s largest event for near-death experiences and related experiences, you’ll be excited to know that our call for proposals is officially open.

IANDS Conference 2026 will head to Bellevue, Washington, where we’ll hear from the world’s leading voices in consciousness studies and explore accounts of personal experiences. Our theme in 2026 is EXPANDED LIVES: Exploring the Impact of Near-Death and Related Experiences.

What We’re Looking For with our Call for Proposals

Iands conference 2026 in bellevue washington august 26th to august 30th 2026

We invite proposals from near-death and related experiencers, researchers, academics, clinicians, scientists, authors and professionals. Proposals might focus on consciousness studies, neuroscience, psychology, theology, spirituality, end of life, grief care, medicine, physics, or other related fields. Related experiences like (and not limited to) after-death communication, shared death experiences, and spiritually transformative experiences are more than welcome, as are discussions regarding the evolving science of non-local consciousness.

This year’s theme invites presenters to explore how NDEs and related phenomena can profoundly expand lives. How they reshape identity, values, relationships, purpose, and worldviews long after the experience itself.

Presentations may examine …

  • Personal transformation
  • Long-term psychological and spiritual effects
  • Clinical and therapeutic implications
  • Cultural and societal impacts
  • or emerging research that deepens our understanding of these life-altering experiences.

Presenters have a unique opportunity to engage an informed, deeply curious global audience. We’re looking forward to seeing your proposals for lectures, panels, workshops, films, music, and experiential sessions,

If your work, research, or lived experience contributes to this evolving conversation –and helps expand and illuminate how near-death and related experiences continue to shape and expand human lives, we invite you to submit a proposal and join this vital conversation!

Continuing Education (CE) credit may be available for qualifying sessions.

Please note the IANDS Annual Conference includes three concurrent session tracks during most time blocks. Individual session attendance for specific presentations may vary depending on scheduling and attendee interest.
