The John Björkhem Memorial Foundation is announcing new parapsychological research grants for 2025. They’ll be distributing a total fund of €10,000 to small and large parapsychological research projects. The application deadline is November 11th 2025.
About the John Björkhem Memorial Foundation
John Björkhem was a Swedish psychiatrist and parapsychologist, and one of Sweden’s pioneers in the scientific study of paranormal experiences. He published research and encouraged others to explore the subject systematically.
Established in 1963, the John Björkhem Memorial Foundation aims to support research in parapsychology and related fields through grants and funding opportunities.
The John Björkhem Memorial Foundation works in close connection with the Society for Psychical Research (SPR), the world’s oldest organization for the scientific investigation of psychic and anomalous phenomena, founded in London in 1882.
The John Björkhem Memorial Foundation awards grants and bursaries exclusively for the purpose of furthering parapsychological research on a scientific basis.
How to apply to the JBM Foundation’s research grants
Please include the following information in applications:
- The specific aim or goal of the project
- Details regarding the work involved and the time requirements necessary for said work, including a detailed plan describing how the goals of the project will be reached
- A budget plan for the project and other budgetary considerations
- Notes on whether or not the results will be published, and how
- Larger projects should include a more detailed research program
