This August, IANDS Conference 2025 will celebrate a significant milestone in the field of near-death studies—the Golden Anniversary of Dr. Raymond Moody’s Groundbreaking book Life After Life. And one of the most anticipated highlights will be the premier of a brand-new Raymond Moody documentary
The documentary is titled Raymond Moody’s Afterlife. It’s the work of celebrated writer and filmmaker Paul Perry, a longtime collaborator with Dr. Moody. The documentary explores near-death experiences and features Moody’s groundbreaking work that launched the field of near-death studies.
Raymond Moody’s Afterlife will premier after a keynote address from Moody himself. And seeing this new Raymond Moody documentary premiering shortly after hearing his keynote speech will be sincerely memorable.

Meet Paul Perry, the filmmaker behind this extraordinary new Raymond Moody Documentary
Raymond Moody’s Afterlife is the work of Paul Perry, a longtime collaborator with Moody, having co-authored six books with him. He also co-authored the book Evidence of the Afterlife with Dr. Jeffrey Long, produced the film AFTERLIFE, and has collaborated on countless other projects in the realm of near-death studies.
Perry’s work outside the field of NDEs includes the biography Fear and Loathing: the Strange and Terrible Saga of Hunter S. Thompson, the book Jesus in Egypt and subsequent documentary Jesus, the Lost Years, and many more impressive works.
Perry was knighted in 2011 in Portugal by the Duke of Braganza for his works as both a writer and filmmaker. He’s the official filmmaker of the Portuguese Royal House and a Grand Cross Knight. The Bishop of São Tomé knighted Perry in Spain as well.
