IANDS Earns New Candid Guidestar Platinum Transparency Seal

IANDS is proud to announce we’ve earned the Guidestar Platinum Transparency seal—the highest level of recognition for nonprofit accountability.

We’re proud to announce that IANDS has earned the Guidestar Platinum Transparency seal from Candid, the nation’s leading source for nonprofit information and accountability.

It’s an important distinction that places IANDS among a select group of nonprofit organizations recognized by Candid for their unwavering commitment to transparency, ethical operations, and public trust.

By sharing comprehensive information regarding programs, financials, impact, and organization structure, we’ve demonstrated that IANDS sets high standards of trust and accountability. It’s a meaningful recognition that affirms our efforts are making a real difference.

Guidestar, which is now part of Candid, provides a framework for evaluating the integrity and transparency of nonprofits.

IANDS previously held a Gold Transparency seal, but moved up to a Candid Guidestar Platinum Transparency seal in 2025. It’s Candid’s highest mark of recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder of earning this achievement.

The Candid Guidestar Platinum Transparency seal is reserved for organizations that share more than basic disclosures with their constituents. It reflects detailed reporting on goals, strategies, capabilities, and measurable progress toward mission-drive results.

Transparency matters

In a world where misinformation is given as much oxygen as facts and scams lurk around every corner, transparency is more important than ever. We need to know that our generous contributions to nonprofits like IANDS will be applied as advertised and directly help move the cause forward.

For IANDS, this recognition isn’t merely a badge. It’s a public affirmation of the standards we pride ourselves on upholding both internally and externally. We strive to keep our donors, members, researchers, and the public informed, and to ensure IANDS upholds our commitment to providing honest, evidence-informed, accessible resources for everyone we serve.

IANDS donors, members, volunteers, and supporters deserve to know where their contributions are going. Researchers and practitioners need reliable data and context. And those seeking help, healing, or answers deserve confidence in the organization they’re turning to for information and support.

“We are proud of the transparency we strive to offer and honored to be recognized with the highest level Platinum seal from Candid,” said IANDS’s President Jan Holden. “We hope this seal gives our members and donors even greater confidence that we are operating IANDS in an effective, strategic and transparent manner as we seek to fulfill our mission. To advance global understanding of near-death experiences and related phenomena through research, education, and supportive communities and resources.”

IANDS thanks you, our supporters, for making this possible!
