Our 2026 Theme: Expanded Lives

Our theme for IANDS Conference 2026 will be Expanded Lives—Exploring the Impact of Near-Death and Related Experiences.

We invite presenters to explore how near-death and related experiences can profoundly expand lives, reshaping identity, values, relationships, purpose, and worldviews long after the experiences themselves.

Presentations may examine …

  • Personal transformation
  • Long-term psychological and/or spiritual effects
  • Clinical and therapeutic implications
  • Cultural and societal impacts
  • Emerging research that deepens our understanding of these life-altering experiences

We’re hoping for IANDS Conference 2026 to encourage inquiry and discussion on the nature of life and death, knowingness, spirituality, non-local consciousness, and more.

Who Can Submit During the Call for Proposals?

We invite proposals from near-death and related experiencers, researchers, academics, clinicians, scientists, authors and professionals across fields including physics, psychology, medicine, neuroscience, consciousness studies, philosophy, theology, spirituality, end of life, and grief care.

Proposals may also address related phenomena such as after-death communication, shared death experiences, spiritually transformative experiences, and the evolving science of non-local consciousness.

Presenters have a unique opportunity to engage an informed, deeply curious global audience through lectures, panels, workshops, films, music, and experiential sessions designed to provoke insight, connection, and conversation.

If your work, research, or lived experience contributes to this evolving conversation, we invite you to submit a proposal and join this vital conversation. Ideal presentations will help expand and illuminate how near-death and related experiences continue to shape and expand human lives. We’re looking forward to seeing your proposals!
