Is my IANDS membership tax deductible?

Because IANDS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donations—and in some cases, your membership dues—may be tax-deductible in the United States. But it depends on the type of membership and the value of any materials or benefits you receive.

The IRS generally says that only the portion of your membership payment that goes beyond the value of any benefits you receive is deductible. Donations to IANDS are separate from membership dues and they’re typically fully tax-deductible, since you’re not receiving any additional goods or services in return.

We recommend checking with your tax advisor or reviewing IRS guidelines here.

If you live outside the United States, you’ll want to check with a local tax professional to see what’s allowed.

IANDS is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service.
