Did you know IANDS publishes a quarterly magazine, and that it’s free? Vital Signs recently entered it’s 44th year in publication—yes, really!—and the magazine just underwent a major facelift, thanks to the tireless work of IANDS’s Susan Amsden and Angela Harris, who entirely overhauled its design and layout. Check out the latest issue, #44-02, down below.
Vital Signs keeps you up to date on all of the goings on not just at IANDS, but in the worlds of near-death experiences and related phenomena, as well as the scientific field of near-death studies. And for 2025, the magazine has undergone significant changes and updates to completely refresh and modernize the magazine.
Vital Signs has undergone major shifts in its layout and design principles. And it has also shifted away from PDF format, adopting a new, modern, and impeccably sleek online flipbook format. That means it’s more readable, more easily indexed, more accessible, and all-around nicer to look at.
