Finding someone you can speak with openly is a critical step toward better understanding your near-death experience. And while we recommend sharing your near-death experience with someone you know and trust personally, talking with a mental health provider has significant benefits as well.
Finding a mental health provider can be challenging. But IANDS has prepared a list of qualified professionals you can reach out to.
Those listed below have asserted that they’re each currently licensed as a mental health provider—a counselor, marriage/ family therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, or social worker. And each one is prepared to work with clients who’ve had near-death experiences or related transpersonal experiences.
In most cases, your mental health provider will only be licensed to work in one state. So the mental health provider listings below are organized by state and city to help you find someone close to home.
