Are you considering making a donation to IANDS? If so, first, thank you! Your generosity keeps our educational nonprofit organization operational. But before you visit our donation page, you should learn about matching donations. It’s possible you might be able to double the size and impact of your donation at no additional cost to you.
What are matching donations?
With matching donations, employers make donations of their own to the charitable causes their employees donate to, matching them dollar-for-dollar.
Matching donations programs are, rather unfortunately, a well-kept secret in the corporate world. More than 23,000 companies offer matching donations to more than 26 million American employees. And many of those workers have no idea their company offers them.
Most companies that offer matching donations will make an equal 1:1 donation with their employee. Some even offer 2:1 or even 3:1 donations. Matching donations usually have minimum and maximum donation amounts, too.
For example, a company might only match donations exceeding $25, and up to a maximum cap of, say, $2,500. Those numbers can vary, of course, from one company to the next.

How do these programs work?
Matching donations programs typically involve an employee making a donation to a nonprofit, then submitting a matching gift request through their employer. Most employers have online portals designated to their matching donation programs. The employer then verifies that the donation meets their program’s criteria, and they follow suit with a donation of their own.
At IANDS, we’re now working with Double the Donation. Their tool makes it easier than ever to figure out if your employer is one of the tens of thousands of companies that offer matching donations. Simply check out the box below, type in your employer to search for them, and you’ll be guided through the next steps directly.
We hope you find this tool easy to use. But if you run into any trouble, please reach out to us and we’ll see what we can do to help you through the process.
IANDS is fully devoted to offering educational and supportive resources to the near-death experiences community. With your donation — and perhaps the added donation of your employer — we can continue this essential work and help normalize conversations regarding NDEs and related phenomena. We thank you deeply for your help!
