The deepest calm I've ever felt, stemming from a sense of understanding and accepting the entire universe

In April 2017, I was preparing to drive roughly 7 hours to my prior state of residence to get tattooed by my tattoo artist. It was the day Gorillaz tickets went on sale, and I bought myself a VIP ticket to their tour. That's one of the last memories I can trust as having happened. I remember loading the car and hitting the road with my dog around noon. I remember driving north across the state border and seeing a sign with the number of road fatalities so far that year. That was Friday.

Woman in labor has OOB and feels like she is home

I was 10 days overdue on my due date to have my baby and nothing was progressing. My doctor scheduled me for that next morning and they started me on Pitocin to induce labor. I was doing fine at first, then the pain was getting worse so they gave me an epidural block. I was doing fine with that for most of the day, but was not progressing much with dilation. My doctor was starting to tell me I probably was going to have a C-section. I was not happy with that.

College student smoking hash has OOB and returns with new understandings

In college I was introduced by some friends to marijuana. One night we were sitting in a dorm room, and I smoked hash for the first time. And I suddenly felt like I zoomed up out of this reality like an airplane flying straight up out of the clouds.
