I traveled through a tunnel with colorful lights at lightning speed to abruptly stop near the end of the tunnel. I had an overwhelming sense of calmness.  An entity, not in human form, more like a nebulous circle, emerges from the light and glides to me. I sense this entity as my maternal grandmother and feel loved/acceptance/a deep connection, all happening without words spoken. My grandmother says, "It's not your time." As quickly as I soared upward, I was back on Earth in a hospital bed, my arms strapped to the bed railings. The nurse comes into my room, tells me that I had died for a little over a minute, and when they brought me back I was so angry, cursing and fighting them to the point they had to use restraints. I didn't and still don't remember the nurse's account.

Through the years, I have incurred more experiences that I also can't explain.

(1) Ten years after the NDE, I wake up in my dream and there is an extremely tall woman standing by my bed. I call her the Tall Woman. Anyway, she tells me my life is about to take a drastic turn and she wanted me to know that she would be by my side and be there for me throughout this setback. A short time after, I think four months, my father passed away from a massive heart attack. That eventually lead to repressed memories of my childhood, my 6 year relationship ended, and I started abusing alcohol.

(2) I'm walking my dog in the park around dusk when I cross paths with a father and his son. His son has on a Cubs hat, my favorite team, and a bag of Cheetos, again one of my favorites. The son asks if he can give my dog Cheetos, so of course he could. He starts feeding my dog when the father says, “I feel compelled to tell you this story about a friend who was driving down a highway late at night when a bright light appears, blinding his friend, who then swerves off the road. His friend gets out of the car, sees a man holding a child in his arms running toward him, yelling thank you for saving my child's life.” Seems the man was changing a flat and lost track of his child who wandered out into the highway. If the friend had not swerved when he did, he would have hit this man's child. What I don't understand is when we said goodbye and walked our separate ways, mere seconds, I turned back around to thank the boy for the Cheetos, and the pair was nowhere to be found. I stood for minutes trying to find them and never did find them.

(3) In 2021, a friend called me and opened with, “I know you are not going to believe this, but your mother came to me in a dream and said that you are very sick and needed to get a colonoscopy.” I blew her off. She called again six months later and said I really needed the colonoscopy because I was going to die if I didn't. So, I went and got the colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Stage 3B colorectal cancer. I'm cancer free now but l found myself more believing and interested in the afterlife, given these experiences.

Most recently, the tall woman came to me in a dream. This time I traveled upward to her where we were alone. I never saw her this time, only heard her voice. She said to me, "Never ever forget that we are not human here. That everything you think you know and everything you do ceases to exist."

Thanks for your attention to this matter. I keep thinking if I share these experiences, which I rarely do, I might can help others.
