The experience was actually my daughter’s experience. She was two years old at the time. She was in a hospital being treated for dehydration. She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was resuscitated after four minutes with 20 joules. She was airlifted to Children’s Hospital where she was subsequently diagnosed with long QT syndrome (LQTS).

Approximately one month after being released from the hospital, she was walking with her 12-year-old sister to collect chicken eggs when she stated that she was all better now. Her older sister asked how she knew that and she said, God had told her.

Approximately one month after that, we were sitting around the campfire in our backyard as a family when out of nowhere she said, "God came to see me at the hospital. He carried me up to the sky when the doctors were putting something on me. He told me I was all better now and took me back to the hospital." She was very unhappy about having to come back. We asked her what God looks like, and her answer was "nothing."

Later that evening, she asked us who was holding her in the cradle. This was her term for the crib in the ICU at Children's Hospital. We told her no one was in there with her as it was too small for us to get in. She insisted that somebody was in there with her. They were wearing yellow.

She has since forgotten the experience. She is now five years old.
