A Comparative Analysis of the NDE among Gay and Non-Gay Individuals

This session reports a work-in-progress. A detailed questionnaire has been established on the web site of the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation to allow gay NDErs to share their accounts. Gay and non gay experiencers are asked whether sexual identity played a role in the experience and whether the experience affected their sexual identity. When enough cases have been collected, statistical comparison of the NDE elements of the gay and non gay groups will be performed. Conclusions from the data are discussed and directions for future research are presented.
