Video account of his experience filmed at the Los Angeles IANDS Workshop - October, 2007. Tuesday, Feb 21 -- featured speaker/topic – Bill English, IANDS Utah Group Leader. Since the founding of the Utah chapter, the group has grown from a small group of 15 to 20 people to a consistent monthly attendance of 150 to 200+. Bill talks about his group core goals and how the group became consistently successful. Bill also gives an inspiring account of his own NDE and his miraculous recovery from severe injuries and coma. Tuesday, Mar 20 -- featured speaker/topic – Ray Kinman, a childhood NDEr. On what was otherwise an ordinary spring day, nine year old Ray Kinman had a very extraordinary near death experience... As a result of a martial arts demonstration (Judo Throw) which went terribly wrong, Ray suffered a massive blow to the head - which catapulted him into convulsions. "My tongue buckled back into my airway, I couldn't breathe and I suffocated". The NDE which followed was a stark combination of "Spiritual Bliss followed by many, many years of guilt". A devoted Catholic at the time, Ray was coached by his parish priest, "Since you cannot say that Jesus was there, it was probably a trick of Satan".... which caused Ray to develop a rather extreme inability to process, reconcile and integrate his near-death. His story was retold recently on the Tuesday, Apr 17 -- featured speaker/topic – Lupita Kirklin, a near-death experiencer and member of IANDS since 2008. She has had several NDEs but in 1982 she suffered an accident that led her to clinical death at age 16 in Acapulco Mexico. She practiced as a licensed psychologist in Mexico for 6 years and she is currently pursuing her second doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. Her doctoral dissertation addresses the topic of near-death experience from a Jungian Perspective in which she researches the integration of the NDE into the survivors' life utilizing dreams and active imagination. She will soon defend her dissertation and earn her doctoral degree by the end of May of 2012. Dr. Moody is her mentor as he is part of her dissertation committee. She is passionate about the near-death studies and plans to make it her lifelong career. Her 1982 story is found in a documentary by Paul Perry called The Afterlife. Tuesday, May 22 -- featured speaker/topic – Dr. Mary Neal is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon who drowned while kayaking on a South American river. She experienced life after death. She went to heaven and back, conversed with Jesus and experienced God's encompassing love. She was returned to Earth with some specific instructions for work she still needed to do. Her life has been one filled with the miracles and intervention of God. Video: Dr. Mary Neal discusses her NDE on The Dr. Oz Show.
